Our Covid-19 Plan
We will ideally be using all of our outdoor seating as the sole seating area. This will mean guests may only enter the building to use the toilets. This will be weather dependent which may give rise to opening indoors with a limited capacity.
All picnic benches will go on the road to create a safe and neat perimeter. All light indoor furniture will be placed in the existing beer garden 2 metres apart or closer depending on future government guidelines.
We will research plans to put in screens to create seating areas where it is not possible to separate the tables to the social distancing requirement indoors.
We will provide gloves, masks and protective eyewear.
Employees can elect whether to wear them or not, subject to government guidelines.
There will be an average five hand sanitiser dispensers around the pub, including at the entrance for customers and staff to use.
Every employee will need to complete and sign a daily health assessment questionnaire to confirm that they are fit to work. This will include having their temperature taken using a digital thermometer.
Dedicated staff will monitor the pub at all times in order to maintain social distancing standards and there will be a member of staff on the door at all times.
The pub will use the front entrance with two separate exit doors to either side of the bar.
Toilet access will be a one way system, entering via front door and exiting via the side doors. All toilet entrance doors to be propped open at all times.
Customer entry and exit will be marked out by floor stickers and/or barriers and there will be clear printed information providing guidance to customers as they enter the pubs.
We will have a member of staff working full time (two or more staff per pub to cover all opening hours) to sanitise all the contact points during opening hours.
These will include tables, door handles, menus, card payment machines and hand rails.
Customers will be asked to be seated and all guests will be served via table service. Portable contactless card machines will be used for all payments, although cash will be accepted.
Staff will hand over all drinks holding the base of the glass or delivered to the table on a tray and placed on the table using the base of the glass.
Food will be delivered to the table by a member of floor staff.
We will provide sachets (ketchup, mayonnaise, salt pepper etc), rather than the usual condiment bottles.
Our opening hours will be Thursday to Sunday midday until midnight. Food service will run 12-9pm. This will be weather dependent and subject to change ie. If it is sunny midweek we may open Monday to Wednesday.
All staff will receive a full briefing and training on the new way of running the pub.
